PROGRAMS and SERVICES
For Spring '16, MTLC will service SoCal with mini-sessions. Our primary labs are
located in Winchester (Temecula); these spaces are familiar and comfortable to the
students in the area. In addition, we are developing a remote truck to facilitate
additional support activities to elevate the musical experience for the area and we
also want to have consistent participation as possible through area events. Lastly,
students may determine specialization areas for additional enrollments or weekend
The initial classes are introductory and exploratory in nature. Students are
introduced to computer basics, music theory basics, music composition and cross-
curricular relations of music (ie. Math, culture and history) with computer-based
software. All information can be considered college tech-prep. After group
instruction of the basics, students are permitted to progress at their own pace. At
this point, the group-oriented class is transformed to a private lesson mode based
on students’ particular needs and creative directions.
